The Garnacha in this blend is harmonious, with a tempting lift of acid just at the finish.

- Wine Advocate: It has herbal and floral aromas and a rustic side but is mostly elegant. It's beautifully textured, and the tannins are very fine; there is no sense of heat at all, and it has amazing balance and a very tasty finish.

Producer Information
Bodega Ferrer Bobet is a Spanish wine producer of Priorat in the south of Catalonia. Each vintage it produces a limited range of wines from old vine Grenache and Carignan. The estate has 22 hectares (54 acres) planted to vine, many of which are old vine Grenache and Carignan although there are plantings of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier as well. Here, slat-based soils locally known as Ilicorella imparts minerality and has a degree of water retention. All vines are cultivated with organic principles. The flagship wine of the portfolio is the Ferrer Bobet Vinyes Velles, a blend of Carignane, Grenache, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, the portions of which depend on the vintage. After a hand-pick in the vineyard, grapes are fermented in a combination of oak, stainess steel and concrete tanks prior to barrel-aging in French oak for 12 months. The other wine of the duo-portfolio is the Ferrer Bobet Selecci.
